Accreditation is the act of granting credit or recognition, especially to an educational institution that maintains suitable standards.  The standards for accreditation are set by a peer review board whose members include faculty from various accredited colleges and universities. The board aids in the evaluation of each potential new University accreditation or the renewals of previously accredited institutions.

Academic Programs undertaken at SIMT are accredited and registered with three accreditation bodies and planning to obtain all like Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) & National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP).

The Accreditation Councils of Pakistan accredit respective programs of the HEIs and award appropriate ratings. Accreditation councils also visit Sindh Institute of Management of Technology  from time to time for accreditation/reaccreditation SIMT programs. In June 2016 to further streamline the process and prepare for accreditation council’s visit currently  below  three bodies are associated with SIMT.
